Job Description

Position Summary The Human Resources & Office Administrator is responsible for managing day-to-day HR functions and office operations. This role ensures compliance with all applicable regulations while supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll coordination, and administrative processes. The position plays a critical role in maintaining an organized, efficient, and compliant workplace. Compensation & Schedule •

Key Responsibilities Human Resources Administration Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and hiring Conduct initial interviews and coordinate follow-up interviews with management as needed Oversee onboarding processes, including new hire documentation, system setup, and orientation Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files Track employee status changes, including hires, terminations, promotions, and transfers Assign employee IDs, system access, and coordinate issuance of uniforms and equipment Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations, including labor laws, DOT, and OSHA requirements Coordinate background checks, drug/alcohol testing, and license verifications Maintain employee certifications, licenses, and training records Prepare documentation for audits and inspections Keep workplace policies, postings, and the Employee Handbook current Payroll & Benefits Administration Coordinate payroll data, including timesheets, commissions, and employee changes Review payroll information for accuracy prior to processing Track employee attendance, leave, vacations, and days off Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and employee inquiries Employee Relations & HR Support Support disciplinary processes, documentation, and follow-up actions Assist with HR investigations and maintain proper records Provide guidance to employees and management on HR policies and procedures Maintain strict confidentiality in all HR matters Training & Development Coordinate employee onboarding, training, and certification programs Track completion of required training and maintain records Supporting ongoing employee development initiatives Office Administration & Operations Oversee daily office operations and administrative workflows Prepare and manage weekly office and driver schedules Coordinate communication between departments Manage office supplies, vendors, and equipment Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency Recordkeeping & Reporting Maintain organized HR and administrative records in compliance with legal and company standards Generate reports on hiring, turnover, compliance, and employee data Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Experience in payroll and
ADP. 3-5
years of experience in HR administration and/or office management Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and regulatory compliance (DOT/OSHA preferred) Experience with HRIS, payroll systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Time-to-hire Employee retention rate Compliance audit results Accuracy and completeness of employee records Benefits After 1 year of service: 5 days of paid vacation (40 hours total) 3 paid sick days annually (medical documentation required) Up to 3 complimentary local towing services per year for personal vehicle use
