18.50 Job Description The HR Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department to ensure accurate, efficient, and compliant HR processes. This role focuses on employee record management, onboarding coordination, HR documentation, payroll support, and employee assistance. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of maintaining confidentiality while supporting a fast-paced HR environment. Essential Functions Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee personnel files, HR databases, and recordkeeping systems. Prepare and process HR documentation, including offer letters, onboarding paperwork, policy acknowledgments, and employment verification forms. Coordinate onboarding activities such as background checks, orientation scheduling, system access requests, and new hire documentation. Assist with offboarding processes, including exit paperwork, final documentation, and system updates. Support recruiting administration by posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating communication with candidates and hiring managers. Assist employees with basic benefits inquiries and enrollment documentation; escalate complex issues as needed. Coordinate with Payroll to ensure timely and accurate employee data updates, status changes, and labor code accuracy. Serve as a first point of contact for routine HR-related questions regarding policies, procedures, and employee records. Track training completions and maintain compliance-related documentation. Support HR audits, EEO reporting, and compliance documentation requirements. Provide general administrative support to HR leadership, including calendar coordination, reporting, and special projects. Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 3-5 years of relevant HR administrative, payroll, or office administrative experience. Experience supporting employee records, onboarding documentation, and HR data management. Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP or Paycom) preferred Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Customer-service oriented with the ability to work collaboratively across departments Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This position operates in a professional food manufacturing office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, including computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally (e.g., office supplies, files). Repetitive movements such as typing and using office equipment. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a Part-Time, hourly position. Standard work hours. Flexibility may be required based on business needs.
