Do:
Manage Attendance:
Monitor daily timecard punches, track absenteeism metrics, and report trends to management.
Audit PTO:
Reconcile accrued/used PTO balances and partner with finance on liability reporting.
Track Leave:
Meticulously log and monitor FMLA (continuous and intermittent) to ensure compliance. What You ll

2+ years in HR admin, timekeeping, or payroll. Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP). strong foundational knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and FLSA. Attendance & Unplanned Absence Management Data Monitoring:
Review daily timecard punch data, shift records, and call-out logs to identify missing punches, tardiness, and unexcused absences.
Metric Reporting:
Track and calculate core attendance metrics, including monthly absenteeism rates, unexcused absence frequencies, and flag disruptive absence patterns for management.
Managerial Support:
Provide weekly attendance health reports to department heads, highlighting attendance trends that impact floor coverage or production capacity. 2. PTO Administration (Planned & Unplanned)
Balance Auditing:
Reconcile and audit monthly accrued, used, and remaining PTO balances within the HRIS/payroll system.
Policy Enforcement:
Review and audit PTO requests to ensure alignment with company policy (e.g., proper notice given for planned PTO, tracking maximum rollover caps, and monitoring unplanned PTO volume).
Financial Reporting:
Partner with the finance team to generate quarterly liability reports detailing the total dollar value of accrued, unused time off sitting on the balance sheet. 3. FMLA & Leave Administration (Continuous, Intermittent & Reduced Schedule)
Intermittent & Reduced Schedule Tracking:
Meticulously log and monitor fluctuating hours or days taken off under approved intermittent FMLA, ensuring employees do not exceed their legal 12-week (480-hour) allotment.
