Job Description
This position is in the Learning and Development Division of the Cobb County Human Resources Department. Performs customer service and support functions in person, by telephone or by email; provides information and assistance regarding department services, forms, learning management or other issues; responds to routine questions, complaints, or requests for service; initiates problem resolution. Utilizes computerized Human Resources Learning Management system to process transactions: enters, modifies, and updates employee records and information. Provides administrative and technical support to the Learning and Development division. Prepares materials and rooms for classes or meetings: sets up rooms and supplies; prints agendas, rosters, certificates, or other materials; assembles packets; prepares refreshments; orders lunches; and greets attendees. Organizes and maintains supplies and resources: orders office supplies, maintains library of learning resources, and maintains orderly work areas. Enters, tracks, and reconciles expenditures, estimates, and adjustments for tuition reimbursement. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required, supplemented by vocational or technical training in human resources or related field; supplemented by three years of experience in customer service, clerical or administrative work. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with students and instructors in a learning environment. Experience with virtual learning platforms such as Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Experience with learning management systems, scheduling classes, meetings and events; creating course materials, and ability to process tuition assistance payments. Ability to provide excellent customer service, and address customer concerns. Tasks require the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of light weight (5-10 pounds). Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or work station. Sensory Requirements Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate sounds, and visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally. Environmental Factors Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
