at Department of Corrections in Joliet, Illinois, United States Job Description Position Overview The Illinois Department of Corrections is seeking an Account Technician I at Joliet Treatment Center. This position is responsible for comparing vendor invoices against receiving reports, preparing data entry forms for manual vouchers, and serving as backup to the Trust Fund and related journals for released individuals in custody. In addition, they prepare employee travel vouchers. We invite all qualified applicants to apply. Essential Functions Compares vendor invoices against appropriate receiving reports examining invoices for billing errors. Prepares data entry forms for manual vouchers and enters into SAP . Serves as backup to the Trust Fund and related journals for released individuals in custody. Process employee travel vouchers for DOC Employees as related to writs, training, multiday training, etc. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two (2) years of college and completion of an approved training course or three (3) years of related clerical bookkeeping experience. Qualifying state employees, in the employee Upward Mobility Program, may complete combinations of specific proficiency tests and training programs leading to a certificate of proficiency in lieu of the stated requirements for this classification. Preferred Qualifications Prefers at least one (1) year work experience with state or non-state accounting procedures.
