Job Description

Role Overview We are seeking a highly organized, trustworthy, and proactive Director of Administrative Operations & HR to support the CEO and leadership team. This role exists to create administrative clarity, improve follow-through, support communication, and help keep priorities, people, and processes moving forward. The right person is dependable, detail-oriented, discerning, and comfortable bringing order to a fast-moving environment. Key Responsibilities Human Resources & Compliance Manage the employee life cycle including recruitment, onboarding, payroll and benefits, retention, employee relations, and offboarding. Maintain records and ensure compliance for workers compensation, OSHA, and
FMCSA/DOT
regulations. Financial Administration Manage day to day bookkeeping including clearing receipts, paying invoices, entering deposits, reconciling accounts, and reporting. Provide information to accountant for tax filings. Systems Coordination Maintain files, documents, trackers, templates, and recurring workflows. Prepare meeting notes, action items, summaries, and follow-ups. Help document and improve simple workflows, SOPs, checklists, and processes to improve consistency and follow-through. Executive Assistant Support Manage calendar coordination, meeting scheduling, inbox support, reminders, task tracking, and follow-up. Help the CEO stay organized, prepared, and focused on key priorities. The Right Fit We are looking for someone who demonstrates: Strong ownership and follow-through Clear, professional communication Organization and attention to detail Sound judgment and confidentiality Creative and effective problem-solving Qualifications Experience in human resources, operations support, bookkeeping, executive assistant, or a similar role is preferred. Preference given to candidates with experience using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, task/project management platforms, payroll or HR systems, CRM tools, or Quickbooks Online. Success in This Role Success means leadership priorities are clear, organized, and follow-through is strong. Important administrative details are handled with consistency and excellence.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
