Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a vigilant and professional Employee Termination Plainclothes Unarmed Officer to ensure the safe and compliant management of employee departures within our facility. This role involves discreetly overseeing termination procedures, maintaining security protocols, and supporting HR teams during sensitive exit processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a proactive approach to conflict management. You will play a crucial role in safeguarding the facility's integrity while upholding employee relations and legal compliance standards. Duties Monitor and execute employee termination procedures in accordance with company policies and legal requirements, ensuring a respectful and secure process. Conduct discreet plainclothes patrols within the facility to observe and prevent unauthorized access or activities related to employee exits. Collaborate closely with Human Resources and management teams to coordinate termination logistics, including access control, equipment retrieval, and exit interviews. Maintain detailed documentation of termination activities, incidents, and security observations while ensuring confidentiality at all times. Respond promptly to any security concerns or incidents during employee departure processes, escalating issues as necessary to senior leadership or law enforcement. Support compliance with OSHA, employment law, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), workers' compensation policies, and other relevant regulations during terminations. Assist in training staff on proper procedures related to employee separations, conflict management, and workplace safety protocols. Experience Proven experience in security operations, preferably within corporate or institutional environments involving employee relations or HR support. Demonstrated knowledge of employment law, labor regulations including FMLA, workers' compensation, and OSHA standards. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations tactfully while maintaining professionalism. Supervising experience or talent acquisition background is advantageous for coordinating team efforts during terminations. Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or similar platforms for data collection and reporting. Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—along with presentation skills for training or briefing teams.
