Job Description
Crown Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Assistant to fill an opening with a local Manufacturing company in Hopkinsville, KY. Position Summary- The Human Resources (HR) Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources Department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position assists with employee onboarding, attendance tracking, personnel records management, recruiting support, employee relations activities, and general HR administration while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with new hire onboarding, orientation, and employment documentation. Maintain employee personnel files and ensure accurate recordkeeping. Enter and update employee information in HR systems and databases. Support recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and coordinating hiring events. Assist with processing employment verifications and other employee requests. Track attendance, absenteeism, and leave documentation. Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and HR-related correspondence. Support employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and company events. Assist employees with questions regarding company policies, benefits, payroll, and HR procedures. Coordinate pre-employment requirements including background checks, drug screenings, and onboarding paperwork. Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and confidentiality requirements. Provide administrative support for training programs and safety initiatives. Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist visitors in a professional manner. Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Previous administrative, customer service, staffing, or HR experience preferred. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidential information and handle sensitive employee mattersprofessionally. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday. Frequent use of computers, phones, and office equipment. Occasional lifting of office supplies and materials up to 20 pounds. Ability to move throughout the manufacturing facility as needed.
Work Environment:
Office environment within a manufacturing facility. Frequent interaction with employees, supervisors, managers, staffing agencies, and visitors. May require flexibility in schedule to support multiple shifts, onboarding events, and production demands.
