Job Description

GLO Resources is searching for an Administrative Assistant to support daily office operations in Baton Rouge, LA . The pay rate will start at $18 per hour with higher compensation considered based on experience. The schedule is Monday - Friday with occasional overtime as needed. Position Summary The Administrative Assistant serves as the first point of contact for visitors, employees, and callers while supporting both front office operations and the Human Resources department. This role is responsible for maintaining a professional and welcoming office environment while assisting with administrative and HR-related functions.

Working closely with office staff and HR personnel, the Administrative Assistant will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations through strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities. This opportunity is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced office environment. Key Responsibilities Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees in a professional and courteous manner Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls, emails, and general inquiries Maintain front desk operations and ensure the reception area remains clean and organized Manage visitor sign-in procedures for guests, vendors, and employees Provide general company information and direct inquiries appropriately Assist with onboarding new employees, including completing paperwork and coordinating orientation setup Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR files Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate communications Assist with distributing HR-related documents, notices, and communications to employees Perform data entry and maintain organized digital and physical filing systems Assist with copying, scanning, filing, and document management Order and restock office and HR supplies as needed Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day office operations Other duties may be assigned as necessary Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certifications preferred Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, administrative, or HR support role preferred Experience with DISA preferred Experience with Safety Council websites preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and remain professional in a fast-paced environment Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented with a positive attitude Physical Requirements Sitting and standing for extended periods Ability to use office equipment and computers for prolonged periods Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a busy office environment Benefits Offered Health Insurance Vision Insurance Dental Insurance Others to be discussed
