Job Description

Role and Responsibilities - Compiles employees' time records, using computer system, reviews electronic or manual timesheets or timecards, route sheets, and GPS tracking software for completeness. May calculate time worked and units produced by piece-work or bonus work employees, using calculator or computer. May assist in processing of new hire into time and attendance software such as providing new badge codes, adding employee to timeclock and payroll software. May interview supervisor and dispatcher to discuss employees' hours worked and pay adjustments to be made. Must compare times for all employees on common vehicles. (i.e. compare Driver times with assigned Hopper times for any given day) Act as liaison between employees and payroll coordinators to ensure the smooth process of pay distribution. Must have knowledge in accounting and payroll time and attendance software programs. Must have knowledge in administrative skills such as operating computers, 10-key calculators, word processing and proficiency with Excel spreadsheets. Must learn personnel compensation and benefits relating to hours worked. Must have knowledge of mathematical reasoning and analytical skills to avoid any errors during work. Must be comfortable with learning any changes/advancements in technology. Must have the ability to compute and post wages and deductions with employees' hours worked daily. Must be extremely reliable since dealing with time-related issues and paycheck distribution. Must be capable of multitasking, planning and organizing details while communicating effectively with co-workers and employees. Must be able to attend meetings and inform employees on information that helps prepare for future issues related to payroll discrepancies. Must maintain time sheets and accurately input time and attendance data into the computer software to export into payroll processing software. Must verify attendance and hours worked while tracking overtime hours and approving compensatory time earned. Ensure time sheets are submitted and received by employees on time and with accuracy.
