GENERAL SUMMARY
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Co-op to support our People Operations team. This role provides hands-on experience across core HR functions including onboarding, employee support, HR systems, compliance, and general administrative HR activities. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, highly organized, and interested in building a career in Human Resources.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and system setup Assist with HRIS data entry and employee record maintenance (ADP or similar system) Help coordinate employee lifecycle activities (status changes, job updates, terminations) Respond to basic employee HR inquiries and escalate when needed Assist with benefits administration support (enrollment changes, eligibility tracking) Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements Support recruiting coordination (scheduling interviews, candidate communication) Assist with HR projects such as engagement initiatives, audits, and reporting Help prepare HR communications, templates, and internal documentation Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Exposure to full employee lifecycle processes Hands-on experience with HR systems and data management Understanding of compliance and employment regulations Experience supporting recruiting and employee engagement initiatives Mentorship from HR leadership/People Ops team
PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in human resources, Psychology, Business, or related field Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Comfortable learning new systems and tools quickly Prior internship or administrative experience is a plus but not required
