Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Payroll Coordinator to join our team! In this vital role, you will manage payroll processing, ensure accurate employee compensation, and maintain compliance with all relevant regulations. Your expertise will help streamline payroll operations, support HR functions, and uphold the integrity of our financial and personnel data. Responsibilities Process payroll accurately and timely using payroll management systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, or UltiPro. Maintain and update employee records within HRIS platforms, ensuring data accuracy for payroll and benefits administration. Reconcile payroll accounts through general ledger accounting practices, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and double entry bookkeeping. Collaborate with the accounting team to manage accounts payable and receivable related to payroll expenses. Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and compliance documentation. Ensure compliance with tax regulations by preparing and filing necessary reports; handle tax experience related to payroll processing. Support governmental accounting requirements by preparing reports for audits or regulatory agencies. Perform data entry tasks with high accuracy using 10 key typing skills; maintain detailed records of payroll transactions. Conduct analysis of payroll data to identify discrepancies or errors; implement corrective actions promptly. Support HR functions such as employee onboarding, offboarding, and benefits inquiries while maintaining confidentiality. Requirements Proven experience with payroll management software such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or Ceridian. Strong understanding of accounting principles including general ledger reconciliation, debits & credits, journal entries, and bookkeeping practices. Familiarity with financial concepts related to corporate accounting and non-profit accounting is preferred. Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks or similar tools; experience with financial software is a plus. Knowledge of HRIS systems and benefits administration processes. Excellent analysis skills to review payroll data for accuracy and compliance. Ability to perform detailed data entry with precision; strong organizational skills are essential. Understanding of governmental reporting requirements related to payroll taxes and employment regulations. Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and support employee inquiries confidently. $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
