Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic Human Resources team as an HR Personnel Clerk, where your energy and organizational skills will play a vital role in supporting our workforce management initiatives. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in human capital management, employee relations, and HR operations. You will be the backbone of administrative support, ensuring smooth HR processes that foster a positive and compliant workplace environment. Duties Responds to inquiries received from the public and employees concerning employee services such as, recruitment activities, promotional opportunities, status of actions, scheduling of tests, information concerning current and former employees, etc. Uses computer applications for personnel-related duties Establishes and maintains personnel files Maintains personnel policies, procedures, rules, regulations, salary schedules, and other personnel guides; Answers questions concerning the application of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and advises employees and supervisors of alternative courses of action Maintains confidentiality for all personnel-related activities Receives and completes personnel transaction forms Requests and reviews eligible lists for vacant positions, and may verify selections Completes employment forms and conducts orientation for new employees Advises new employees of job requirements, rights, privileges and obligations Prepares various reports and summaries, such as vacancy reports, turnover statistics and equal employment opportunity statistics Prepares bi-weekly time reports and maintains leave records Coordinates charity campaigns, blood drives and other employee activities Completes and reviews transaction documents Assigns record and action codes for computer applications Determines increment and entry-on-duty dates Maintains examination files and materials Reviews and reconciles applicant records Reconciles test administration records with test documents May counsel employees regarding health and retirement benefits and options May conduct preliminary entrance and exit interviews Performs other related duties Experience Previous administrative experience with a focus on human resources or office management is highly desirable Knowledge of employment law, FMLA regulations, HIPAA standards is a strong plus Experience with project management tools and techniques to support HR initiatives and process improvements Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with employees at all levels and external partners Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
Pay:
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
