The Workforce Coordinator supports the development of employment opportunities for eligible clients by providing job coaching, career exploration, work-readiness training, and supervised job-search assistance. This person may be assigned to various LifeStyles office locations and may be required to travel to partner sites, community locations, and work activity locations as needed. Duties and Responsibilities Assists assigned program participants (caseload) in the development, implementation, monitoring and updating of Individual Plans that include specific goals related to their vocational progress. Provides job coaching services as required for all individuals on caseload when needed. Supports workforce program activities, including job readiness training, supervised job search, orientation, assessment, goal setting, and referrals to employment and training resources Monitors, evaluates, and documents participant progress toward employment and program Completes daily and/or monthly reports for each participant in employment activities, as required. Maintains accurate and timely documentation in required systems (e.g., WORKS, Charity Tracker) Serves as LifeStyles liaison with the program participant/client, case manager, and employer as required. Coordinates referrals from case managers for assistance in obtaining employment-related support (i.e., transportation, develop assistive technology/computer skills) Partners with staff from various agencies and organizations to assist the client in accessing employment supportive services in which they are eligible Remains knowledgeable about local labor market trends and new employers' requirements for new jobs listed. Refer clients to our partners in building job searching and interview skills, creating an appropriate resume and cover letter, thank you letters, and other employment-related skills as required to obtain employment. Assists with outreach, workshops, and workforce-related events Assist with other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's Degree desired A minimum of 2 years' experience in working with clients as a Workforce or Employment Specialist with a proven track record Valid Maryland Driver's License Reliable transportation to and from work Ability to pass a drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, MS Office, Adobe Pro), including document management Experience with usage and management of automated data base systems Strong organizational skills, filing and attention detail Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written skills); strong people skills; customer service and communication (verbal and written) Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively Ability to keep all client and court information confidential Ability to respect and relate to people from various backgrounds (economic, cultural, educational) in a variety of settings Handles challenging behaviors and trauma-related responses professionally Ability to maintain objectivity, gather and record factual information accurately
