LPS Companies is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and people-focused Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator to support our growing family of businesses. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with employees, managing HR processes, maintaining compliance, and ensuring payroll accuracy. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting employee onboarding, payroll administration, benefits management, compliance audits, recruiting efforts, and overall human resources operations across multiple companies. Compensation & Benefits
  • Starting salary of $55,000 per year (higher compensation may be offered based on experience and qualifications)

  • Position is primarily based at the LPS Companies main office
  • Occasional travel to affiliated business locations may be required for meetings, employee support, training, audits, and operational needs Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the onboarding process for all new employees
  • Prepare and maintain employee personnel files and employment records
  • Process payroll accurately and timely through ADP
  • Review and track employee timecards, attendance, and hours worked
  • Ensure payroll records are accurate and compliant with company policies
  • Assist employees with payroll, benefits, and HR-related questions
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance enrollment and changes
  • Coordinate with insurance providers regarding employee eligibility, enrollments, and terminations
  • Support recruiting efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and hiring processes
  • Conduct employment verifications and background checks
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring proper documentation and compliance
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
  • Generate HR and payroll reports for management
  • Support employee recognition and engagement programs
  • Assist with miscellaneous office and administrative duties as assigned Qualifications
  • Previous Human Resources, Payroll, Office Administration, or related experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of ADP payroll systems preferred
  • Experience processing payroll and tracking employee hours
  • Familiarity with health insurance and employee benefits administration
  • Understanding of HR compliance requirements and audit procedures
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work independently while supporting multiple businesses and departments Education & Training
  • College degree preferred but not required based on relevant experience
  • HR, Payroll, Business Administration, or related certifications are a plus
  • Certifications from reputable vendors and organizations are highly valued
