Summary The Human Resources Clerk provides clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department. This position assists with recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and general office operations through routine, detail-oriented tasks. Work is performed under the direction of the Assistant Supervisor of Human Resources, with guidance from HR team members. The Human Resources Clerk contributes to timely, accurate, and responsive HR services that support district operations. Essential Functions A. Recruitment & Hiring Support Assist with applicant tracking and candidate communications. Support interview scheduling and hiring logistics. Prepare hiring materials and process routine pre-employment steps in accordance with established procedures. B. Onboarding & Employee Processing Coordinate onboarding activities and required documentation. Assist with completion and processing of employment forms and data entry. Support new employee orientation and onboarding tracking. C. Records Management & HR Operations Maintain accurate and organized employee records and HR systems. Enter and update personnel data and assist with routine reporting. Provide basic support for time and attendance processes. D. Administrative & Customer Service Support Respond to routine HR inquiries and direct requests to appropriate staff. Assist with front-line customer service to employees, applicants, and visitors. Assist with general office tasks, communications, and document management. E. Additional Duties Provide general support to HR staff and assist with projects as assigned. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional coursework in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of clerical, administrative, or office support experience required. Experience in HR or a school district setting preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow established procedures and maintain organized systems. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately. Proficiency with standard office software and ability to learn HR systems. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks within a part-time schedule. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Work is primarily performed in an office environment and includes sitting for extended periods, using standard office equipment, and interacting with employees, applicants, and the public. Hours & Compensation:
6 hours/day, 30 hours per week Non-Affiliated, Group 50 Confidential Clerical
Range:
$18.43 - $24.14/hour depending on qualifications
