Human Resources Recruiting Assistant Location:
Cape Girardeau, MO Pay Range :
$21.23

Day Shift:
Monday
  • Friday 8:00am
  • 4:30pm We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Recruiting Assistant to support the daily operations of our HR department and recruitment efforts.
Candidates must have prior recruiting and/or talent acquisition experience. Experience managing candidate pipelines, conducting phone screenings, scheduling interviews, and working within Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is strongly preferred. This position is responsible for assisting with candidate sourcing, applicant communication, interview scheduling, onboarding support, and maintaining employee records within the HRIS and ATS systems. The Recruiting Assistant will also help support recruitment and retention initiatives, social media recruiting efforts, and new hire processing. Key Responsibilities Assist in using agency Applicant Tracking System for candidate communication, interview scheduling, posting job openings, etc. Assist with helping Director of Recruitment and Hiring with candidate workflow processes including contacting candidate and follow-up, conducting phone screenings for placement, making recommendations for additional interviews. Assist with agency recruitment and retention strategies. Conduct new hire paperwork (background screening, education verification, etc.) processing and screening. Provide company information and opportunities to active and passive applicants. Maintain and update employee files in HRIS including scanning paper documents into the appropriate file and tracking of new employee orientation completions. Assist with onboarding of new employees. Assist with recruiting related social media content. Assist with recruiting events when needed. Assist with other HR tasks as needed.
Minimum Required Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent Must enjoy working with people and be patient, tactful and approachable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities. Basic understanding of human resources and recruiting functions (e.g. . posting jobs, screening applicants, scheduling interviews). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) Experience with or ability to learn HRIS or applicant tracking systems. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR and candidate information. Must hold valid drivers license and proof of continuous auto insurance.
