Position Summary Human Resources Assistant Human Resources Full Time Primary Responsibilities Provides comprehensive administrative support to Human Resources Supervises department front desk customer service function, including student staffing Ensures both legal and procedural compliance for Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) benefits and other leave requests Monitors and tracks employee-reported leave time and associated medical verifications Reconciles payroll withholding accounts for FICA/Medicare, Federal, State, and international taxes Collect and organize data for various employment requests Ensures compliance of employee fee waiver and dependent tuition reimbursement benefits Coordinates monthly personnel action reports for review and approval Assists in reviewing nonresident alien work eligibility for employees and determines appropriate paperwork and supporting documentation to file with USCIS Processes all electronic and paper employment verifications Monitors and reconciles multiple department budgets Updates and maintains department website Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel Bookkeeping experience or evidence of math skills Evidence of strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team environment Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service Demonstrated ability to work professionally with all levels of the organization
