Job Description

Position Summary Proffer Produce is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Human Resources & Payroll Assistant to aid in daily HR functions and payroll processing. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate employee records, ensuring timely payroll, and supporting efficient day-to-day operations within the HR and Payroll department. This is a full-time position working 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Saturdays as needed. Human Resources Support Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and employee file maintenance Maintain accurate and organized employee records (both digital and physical filing systems) Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures Support recruitment efforts, including scheduling interviews and maintaining applicant records Ensure compliance with company policies and HR best practices Payroll Administration Assist in processing payroll accurately and on schedule Review timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness Enter and maintain payroll data in payroll systems Help resolve payroll discrepancies and employee concerns Maintain confidentiality of payroll and compensation information Administrative Duties Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy Maintain filing systems and documentation in an organized manner Prepare reports as needed Provide general administrative support to the HR department
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Strong computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel High level of accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Ability to follow established policies and procedures
Preferred:
Previous experience in Human Resources and/or payroll Experience with HRIS or payroll systems Administrative or office support experience Work Environment Office setting within a warehouse environment Regular interaction with warehouse employees and leadership Fast-paced environment with changing priorities What We're Looking For Someone who is reliable and shows up ready to work A team player who communicates clearly and respectfully Comfortable working with numbers, systems, and detailed information Able to handle sensitive situations with professionalism Willing to learn and adapt to company processes
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
