ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit, pre-screen, schedule and conduct interviews for potential employees
- Develop in depth standardized interview questionnaires for all positions
- Attend hiring events, expos, fairs as needed
- Administer training, on-boarding, and orientation for new employees
- Develop, recommend, implement, and enforce personnel policies and procedures
- Administer time clock management including requests for time off and managing the company's attendance policy
- Develop, implement, and maintain company safety program including monthly safety training administration
- Administer company benefits
- Ensure all employment practices comply with changing federal, state and local regulations
- Create and revise job descriptions
- Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
- Conduct exit interviews
- Assess training needs and monitor training programs
- Spearhead employee engagement efforts including monthly lunch days, holiday lunches, annual company outings and birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- A minimum of three years of human resource management experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead
- Must be able to lift and carry 0-20lbs. frequently
- Accuracy and attention to detail
PREFERRED
- Masters degree in related field
- Professional designation SHRM-CP or
SHRM-SCP COMPETENCIES
Knowledge :
Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources Education and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects. English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Law and Government — Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process. Personnel and Human Resources — Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.Skills :
Communicating with Supervisors, Peers, or Subordinates — Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person. Communicating with Persons Outside Organization — Communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail. Computer Usage — Ability to use MS Office, fax, and use internet. Getting Information — Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. Judgment and Decision Making — Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Management of Personnel Resources — Motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job Speaking — Talking to others to convey information effectively. Writing — Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience.Abilities :

Oral Comprehension — The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
