Job Description

WIOA Workforce Coordinator - Community Campus Job Description Incumbent has the responsibility for working with WIN Job Center clients and serving as the liaison for MGCCC services and training. This position is part-time. Job Duties
MAINTAIN AND DEVELOP
Community Awareness and Marketing of
MGCCC CTE
programs to WIOA clients. Identify, strengthen and develop training opportunities with WIOA partners. Identify programs, services and resources available at the college that can assist dislocated workers and businesses at each campus center. Maintain extensive knowledge of all financial aid programs available, including grants, loans, scholarships and other resources. Develop working relationships with partners including, but not limited to, all WIN Center partners as well as community agencies, adult education programs, academic and career/technical programs; and to communicate this information to the WIN Center applicants. Responsible for promoting the availability of programs, training services and resources available through MGCCC to the WIOA population within the community college district. (both) Maintain a spreadsheet of all MGCCC's Career/Technical program's cost of attendance for ITA interviews for the eligible training provider list (EPTL). Develop a better understanding of all financial aid programs available including grants, loans and scholarships. Develop a working knowledge of South MS Planning and Development Grant Services as well as WIOA and sub grant procedures to assure compliance with all such state and federal regulations. Collaborate with Career/Technical Deans and Directors annually to update WIOA Eligible Training Provider List. Keep ITA Interviewers informed of any changes to EPTL programs, for example, cost, curriculum, or addition of online classes. Email correspondence to all counselors and key personnel about the ITA process and open enrollment dates. Conduct college and career information sessions at WIN Job Centers, Family First, Moore Community House, community events, and at companies and industries. Serve on Workforce related boards and committees. Promote MGCCC programs and WIN Job Center resources at community activities. Represent MGCCC at Rapid Response Sessions. Market, coordinate and process registration of applicants for Workforce short-term training classes.
STUDENT SERVICES
Guide Adult WIOA participants, including Dislocated Workers, to appropriate agencies for support and technical assistance. (both) Target and assist clients who need extra support to maneuver through the WIOA system. Provide career and guidance counseling with WIOA youth, traditional and non-traditional participants. Determine client categories for best method of service for that individual. Conduct or coordinate information sessions with WIN Center staff where needed (financial aid, resume writing, etc.) in order to strengthen and/or develop training opportunities for WIOA clients. Maintain a spreadsheet each semester by campus for all ITA students, documenting their ITA award, expense and balance for each MGCCC business office. Submit new program applications for approval, process ITA awards sent by interviewers, and process student invoices through the ETPL electronic system. Research financial aid award of ITA students to input amount on ITA electronic invoice. Email information to students such as reminders for students to turn in final grades and their next semester's class schedule to ITA Interviewer. Process and maintain paperwork for students enrolled in short term training and special projects. Develop and implement soft skills program for all
MGCCC CTE
students.
MEASURING PROGRESS AND SUCCESS
Develop partnerships to improve performance measurements of WIOA students. Use a tracking system to monitor the progress of training and education for WIOA participants through the community and junior college. Responsible for implementing a systematic system for collecting and entering data of performance measurements/employment wages for students in a career/technical or short-term program. Monitor (track) and report student progress. Abide by MGCCC Policies and Procedures. Perform duties assigned by the WIOA Program Administrator. Any other job responsibilities, as deemed necessary, by the MGCCC designated Administrators. Mandatory Qualifications (M1) Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning. (M2)Working and managing grant funded projects. (M3) Demonstrated experience in student recruitment, advisement, and enrollment. (M4)Strong interpersonal, computer, and written skills. Desirable Qualifications (D1) Experience with Banner System. (D2) Community college experience. (D3) Masters Degree in related area.
