Job Description

Title:
Human Resource Clerk Reporting Relationship:
Human Resources Manager General Summary of Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of basic personnel related clerical duties associated with applicant screening, data entry, filing, maintaining employment records, on-boarding of new personnel and basic functions relative to customer service.
Essential Job Functions:
Maintains electronic and hardcopy personnel records; performs data entry of pertinent personnel information, maintains complete and secure hardcopy records, ensures proper documentation is maintained, and formulates basic queries and reports. Establishes basic legal and medical records for current staff and prospective candidates for employment. Tracks performance appraisals and provides reminders to supervisory staff. Assists with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office; directs incoming calls, informs prospective candidates of application and position posting status, conducts basic employment verifications, and answers inquiries. Performs initial staff customer service and refers problems to other HR staff as appropriate. Screens and distributes incoming mail. Welcomes new employees to the organization by conduction orientation; educates new employees regarding employee benefits and other employee requirements as per the BBGH Personnel Manual. Assists with employee relations; meets with employees to identify needs and is a resource to connect employees with the appropriate expertise necessary to answer their questions. Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Coordinate the activities and programs promoting employee retention. Performs any other duty that may be necessary in the best interest of the hospital.

Strong communication, counseling, facilitation, presentation skills required.

Possession of or ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class "O" Nebraska driver's license or the equivalent
Personal Skills:
Must possess strong organizational and communication skills. Able to multi-task in a high pressure environment. Must be trustworthy, prompt, reliable, and able to maintain confidences. Must be able to work on evenings and weekends on an occasional basis. Must be able to support the
