Human Resources Job Summary The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources department and assists with daily operations. This position offers an opportunity to learn about various areas of human resources, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, and compliance. Typical responsibilities include maintaining employee files, helping prepare onboarding materials, assisting with job postings, supporting communications and events, and completing data entry or reporting tasks as needed. Essential Functions Maintain and update employee files, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Assist with HR data entry, scanning, and organizing electronic records. Help coordinate events and activities such as employee recognition, benefits fairs, or wellness programs. Support and help oversee the Job Shadow Student Program, including scheduling, communication, and tracking participation. Assist with distributing information, updating spreadsheets, or filing forms. Provide support for employee communications such as announcements, newsletters, or bulletin board updates. Help monitor department email inbox or inquiries and direct questions to the appropriate team member. Participate in projects or process improvement initiatives as assigned. Perform general office duties such as filing, copying, and ordering supplies.
