Job Description
The Hunterdon County Educational Services Commission (HCESC) is a public school district that serves as a partner school district and provides shared educational programs and services to school districts, public entities and Municipalities. Some of the services provided include School Bus Transportation, School Services, Adult Programs and Services, Technology, Professional Development, Lease Purchasing and Cooperative Purchasing. HCESC is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to oversee and manage our Human Resource needs. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for HR and a desire to contribute to a diverse organization while fostering their own professional growth and long-term career development.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage all aspects of the Human Resources function, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and performance management, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Maintain and update all personnel databases and distribute requested staff data to appropriate individuals. Complete the employment process and orientation of new staff members, together with the monitoring of required documents; i.e., contracts, employment forms, fingerprinting, health examinations, etc., while complying with changes to state and federal requirements. Respond to personnel-related information requests. Design, post, and advertise new or vacated employee positions. Responsible for updating personnel items on Board Agendas Coordinate, update, and maintain the District certifications, including initiating and follow-up of certification issues with the County Superintendent's Office. Maintain and submit required staff reporting documentation accurately and on a timely basis in compliance with state and regulatory requirements. Compile and coordinate information for yearly District surveys and State reports. Process and update the schedule of leaves of absence due to the purpose of maternity, illness, etc. Maintenance of daily staff attendance records. Assist in fostering a positive workplace and support in resolving personnel issues related to policy or procedural concerns.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree Minimum of 2 Years of Personnel/Human Resources experience preferred Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with staff and public Competent in leveraging various software applications to improve efficiency. Excellent organizational, and written communication skills. Multi-tasking and flexible approach to work required Criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status and a complete physical examinationJob Type:
