• Why does the job exist? This position reports to position #29383, Executive Manager of Human Resources (Human Resources Director), and is responsible for scheduling, organizing, and prioritizing daily tasks. It requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly. How does it get done? The Human Resources Assistant position provides administrative support to the Human Resources Director's office. Administrative Support to HR Director (85%) Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR Director. Attend HR meetings, prepare meeting notes, and ensure requests are routed appropriately. Coordinate ADA-related scheduling. Prepare and send ADA correspondence. Other Duties (15%) Perform additional tasks as assigned by HR Director. Minimum Qualification High School diploma or equivalency and six (6) months of experience as it pertains to the essential duties and responsibilities of this classification. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) months may substitute for the required experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Pre-employment background investigation is required and is conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage.
