The Human Resources Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Director of People and Culture and enhancing the overall employee experience at The Just One Project. The Coordinator will provide high-level administrative support and contribute to all core areas of Human Resources, including Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning, Learning and Development, Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations and Engagement, and Compliance and Risk Management.ORGANIZATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
As a mission driven nonprofit organization, all employees are required to contribute to organization wide initiatives that support community impact. This includes participation in up to six Pop Up and Give community events annually. These occur outside of standard business hours and are scheduled on the third Saturday of the month.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruiting and Onboarding Lifecycle Posts open positions across job boards, applicant tracking systems, and TJOP platforms Maintains and tracks the applicant pipeline; provides regular status updates to the Director Schedules and coordinates phone, virtual, and in-person interviews with candidates and hiring teams Facilitates pre-employment screening, including background checks, reference checks, and drug screens through approved vendors Prepares and sends offer letters to selected candidates after Director approval Coordinates and schedules new hire onboarding and orientation Prepares onboarding materials, new hire packets, and orientation logistics Completes Form I-9 verification and E-Verify submissions within required federal timeframes Sets up new hires in HRIS, payroll, benefits, and applicable systems Updates and maintains the job description library under the Director's direction ComplianceRecords Management Audits employee personnel files for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal and Nevada recordkeeping requirements Tracks completion of required trainings across all staff, including harassment prevention and role-specific certifications Audits handbook acknowledgments, policy receipts, and signed forms Monitors required certifications, including Food Handlers Cards and other role-specific credentials Sends follow-up reminders to staff and managers for outstanding items; reports compliance gaps to the Director for resolution Maintains audit logs, compliance trackers, and reporting spreadsheets Supports the maintenance of I-9 records, EEO data, and other legally required documentation HR OperationsSystems Provides calendar management, meeting coordination, and scheduling support Updates recurring meeting agendas and prepares meeting materials Scans, files, and organizes physical and digital HR documents Maintains and improves the digital filing system architecture for accessibility and security Prepares HR communications, forms, letters, and reports from approved templates Builds and maintains HR tracking spreadsheets, including audit logs, recruiting trackers, and compliance dashboards Maintains strict confidentiality regarding all HR matters, employee information, and sensitive records Performs other related duties as assigned that align with the role's classification and scopeREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of experience in human resources, administrative support, or a related role Experience working in or supporting a nonprofit organization Demonstrated proficiency in spreadsheets (Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel), including formulas, sorting, filtering, and tracking dashboards Working knowledge of HR best practices, federal and Nevada employment law, and HR compliance requirements Proven ability to organize systems, manage sensitive information, and consistently meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field aPHR, PHR, or SHRM-CP certificationWORK SCHEDULE AND CLASSIFICATION
This position is part-time, non-exempt (hourly), requiring approximately 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM Eligible for overtime pay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and Nevada wage and hour law for any hours worked beyond 40 in a workweek; all overtime must be pre-approved in writing by the Director Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during audits or special projectsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
If the position requires travel to perform essential job duties, the employee must maintain a valid driver's license and meet the organization's insurability requirements. Reliable transportation is required to fulfill travel related responsibilities.WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
