The Patrol Officer will provide a visible deterrent to criminal and/or suspicious-related activities. In addition, they will act as a first-responder to incidents that occur on the property including medical, criminal, traffic, animal control, or various types of emergencies. The Patrol Officer will also enforce all rules and regulations of the Spanish Trail Master Association and Sub-Associations. •

$20/HR.

PATROL OFFICERS ARE TRAINED AT ALL POSITIONS, INCLUDING GATE & DISPATCH PROCEDURES, AS THEY PROVIDE LUNCH RELIEF AND FILL IN AS NEEDED. THE AVAILABLE SHIFT IS AS FOLLOWS

00 A.M. - 1:30 P.M., 6:00 A.M. - 2:30 P.M. AND 2:00 P.M.-10:30 P.M.

THE TRAINING SCHEDULE IS BASED ON THE TRAINER'S SCHEDULE. TRAINING WILL BE AT LEAST 3 WEEKS AND TRAINING DAYS WILL VARY. AGAIN, IF YOU CANNOT TRAIN DURING THESE TIMES, DO NOT APPLY. AFTER YOUR TRAINING PERIOD, YOU WILL START THE SCHEDULE THAT YOU WERE HIRED FOR. IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER JOB OR OTHER OBLIGATIONS, WE WILL NOT WORK AROUND YOUR SCHEDULE. UNLIKE MANY SECURITY COMPANIES THAT CHANGE YOUR SCHEDULE WEEKLY OR HAVE YOU AT MULTIPLE LOCATIONS, WE PROVIDE A SET SCHEDULE AFTER TRAINING AND OUR PROPERTY IS THE ONLY LOCATION YOU WILL WORK. WE HIRE BASED ON COMPANY NEEDS, NOT PERSONAL NEEDS. WE ARE NOT A CONTRACT SECURITY COMPANY. IF YOU CANNOT PASS A THOROUGH BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST, DO NOT APPLY.

Primary Duties include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Patrol property in a vehicle
• Effect arrests when appropriate
• Prepare incident reports
• Issue citations and warnings when appropriate
• Answer incoming phone calls to the Main Gate
• Operate the dispatch module and alarm monitoring system
• Operate the dispatch radio and effectively communicate with other officers
• Monitor video surveillance system
• Greet all residents, guests, and vendors entering through the community gates
• Ensure that all vehicles entering through the resident lane have an active transponder
• Accurately enter information into the access control software Position Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum of 23 years of age and be a resident of Nevada
• Possess a valid State of Nevada driver's license
• Minimum driving standards include the following:
• No major violations including DUI, racing, hit and run, speeding in excess of 20 mph over posted speed limit, or manslaughter within the past 3 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations within past 3 years.
• No more than 1 at fault accident within the past 3 years.
• Racing
• Passing a stopped school bus.
• Possession of a controlled substance.
• Making a false accident report.
• One or more "company vehicle" physical damage claims in any twelve-month period.
• Speeding (10+ MPH over posted speed limit).
• Conviction for attempting to elude a police officer.
• No violations for driving while using a mobile device.
• Required to pass a pre-employment drug test and background screening
• Proficiency in oral and written English language communication
• Possess basic computer skills such as Word and Excel software programs
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to complete an in-house training program and a 90-day introductory period
