Job Description

Jenny Bour with Robert Half is working with a non-profit organization that is looking for a detail-oriented HR Assistant to provide essential support in the daily operations of their Human Resources department. This role HR Assistant role involves maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment and onboarding, and handling administrative tasks such as scheduling and document preparation. The ideal HR Assistant candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
Responsibilities:
Respond to routine employee and applicant inquiries regarding policies, benefits, and recruitment processes, escalating more complex issues to the HR Manager.

Assist with payroll tasks, including processing, resolving discrepancies, and addressing employee concerns.

Conduct audits of HR programs such as payroll and benefits, recommending corrective actions when necessary.

Support benefits administration by managing claims, reporting changes, and processing vendor invoices.

Serve as a liaison with external vendors and insurance providers for health, dental, life, and retirement plans.

Process and manage leave of absence requests, including disability and workers' compensation documentation.

Maintain and update employee records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and generate reports as needed.

Facilitate recruitment efforts by managing job postings, tracking candidate statuses, and coordinating interview schedules.

Prepare new employee documentation, conduct reference checks, and assist in onboarding and orientation processes.

Organize and support special events such as benefits enrollment sessions, company meetings, and employee recognition programs.
