What we do. The BFLO Store is the flagship retailer of Buffalo and Western New York! With an emphasis on the "experience," BFLO has taken modern retail and made itself a destination for locals and tourists alike. The BFLO Store is locally owned and operated, you will find the largest selection of both Buffalo-themed and officially licensed sports merchandise in WNY. Items offered range from gifts, home & garden, apparel, jewelry, and more! Who we are looking for. The BFLO Store is seeking a dynamic and people-focused HR Coordinator with a strong background in Public Relations. This role blends human resources responsibilities with brand representation, ensuring both employees and customers experience the best of BFLO's culture. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with exceptional customer service skills, capable of fostering positive relationships internally and externally. In general, candidates should meet the following minimum requirements: Serve as a primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and onboarding Assist in employee engagement initiatives and team-building activities Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Coordinate training sessions and support leadership development programs
Public Relations & Brand Representation:
Act as a brand ambassador for BFLO Store, promoting a positive company image Assist in planning and executing in-store events, community outreach, and promotional campaigns Build and maintain relationships with customers, partners, and the local community Support social media and public-facing communications as needed Handle customer concerns professionally, ensuring a high level of satisfaction
Customer Service & Leadership:
Deliver outstanding customer service and set the standard for the team Lead by example to create a welcoming and inclusive environment Provide guidance and support to staff, encouraging professional growth Address and resolve employee and customer issues with professionalism and empathy
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or related field (preferred) 1-3 years of experience in HR, customer service, or public relations Strong interpersonal and communication skills Demonstrated leadership ability and team-oriented mindset Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Passion for customer experience and community engagement What we offer you that's different.

Starting pay between $24-$30/hour, full time or part time hours, holiday pay, paid vacation time, periodic pay raises, 401(k), health and dental insurance and a variety of other benefits.
