Human Resources Coordinator Philomath, OR 97370 From $26 an hour - Full-time From $26 an hour - Full-time Company Overview Miller Timber Services is dedicated to sustainable forest management, offering expert solutions in timber harvesting, reforestation, transportation, and emergency services such as wildland firefighting. We are committed to providing environmentally responsible and efficient forestry practices for both private and government lands. Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our dynamic team. Human Resources Coordinator manages the administrative HR processes and ensures smooth execution of HR programs and policies. This role will serve as a key point of contact for employees and assist in areas of recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration and employee engagement initiatives. This role is essential for maintaining organized HR operations and delivering a positive employee experience. This role reports to the Director of Human Resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruiting & Onboarding Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation completion and orientation scheduling Support recruitment efforts by posting job openings, scheduling interviews and processing background checks Prepare HR reports, track compliance requirements and assist with audits Employee Relations Organize employee engagement activities, training sessions and company events Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures and programs Collaborate with other office administrators on special projects and process improvements Maintain and update employee records in HR systems and ensure data accuracy Benefits Assist with benefits, including enrollment, changes and employee communications Manage changes in benefit software platforms and with vendors to maintain accurate and up-to-date information Compliance Maintain records and ensure compliance with local, state and federal entities Manage requests from government entities and submitting reports Research requirements when needed Record Keeping Maintain and update the Employee Handbook and HR policies as needed Maintain and organize all HR files (physical and digital), including but not limited to Employee Personnel files in compliance with recordkeeping requirementsWork Environment & Physical Requirements:
Primarily office-based with extended computer use. Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 20 lbs). Standard business hours, with occasional flexibility required to meet field coordination needs.Minimum Requirements:
2 years of progressive Human Resources or related field experience Associate's degree or above in Human Resources, Business or other related field of study. Will accept an additional 2 years of work experience in lieu of higher education. Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and the ability to function in a fast paced and ever-changing environmentDrug-Free Workplace Policy:
