HR Administration & Benefits Specialist Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) is seeking an experienced HR Administration & Benefits Specialist to administer employee benefits programs and support HR operations across the organization. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees and vendors regarding benefits, compliance, and HR program administration—ensuring a positive employee experience while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do:
Benefits Administration & Employee Support Administer comprehensive employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, 401(k), wellness, and other benefit offerings. Provide end-to-end benefits administration, including claims resolution, reporting, employee communications, and vendor coordination. Serve as a trusted resource for employees—answering benefits questions, explaining plan options, eligibility, and coverage details. Act as a liaison with third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues and resolve employee inquiries accurately and efficiently. HR Programs, Communication & Wellness Develop, coordinate, and deliver content, communications, and calendar events related to open enrollment, wellness initiatives, and retirement planning workshops. Maintain and promote internal communication channels, leveraging company systems to provide timely and clear benefits information. Compile, analyze, and present data related to benefit program utilization and effectiveness. HR Administration & Compliance Maintain paperless employee records using HR systems, ensuring document accuracy and compliance. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Review HR policies and practices, recommend best practices, and support HR communications related to policies, standards, and regulatory notices. Serve as a point of contact for MEPPI divisions on customer compliance requests. Global Mobility & Additional HR Support Support global mobility programs, including visa requirements, employee transfers, and relocations. Coordinate with immigration attorneys, employees, and managers to collect and track required documentation. Provide administrative support for additional HR programs such as employee leaves, tuition reimbursement, expatriate programs, and immigration activities.
What You Bring:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in benefits administration and/or leave administration, or equivalent education and experience.
Skills & Expertise:
Intermediate knowledge of federal and state employment and labor laws. Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation communication skills. Logical and analytical thinking skills with the ability to analyze quantitative data. Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and working knowledge of HRIS and benefits administration systems. High attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality. Why MEPPI?
