Job Description

Moran Logistics is a family-owned and operated third-party logistics provider with a rich history of delivering exceptional supply chain solutions. Established in 1975, the company prides itself on a "Whatever It Takes" approach to customer partnership, offering value-added services that promote lean operations and seamless flow of goods across multiple locations. We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized HR Assistant to join our Human Resources team. Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, this role provides critical support to day-to-day HR operations and contributes to ensuring smooth and efficient processes across onboarding, recordkeeping, compliance, and general HR services. The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful, and committed to delivering an excellent employee experience while providing direct administrative and operational support to the Director of HR. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and HRIS systems. Support full-cycle onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork, orientation scheduling, and systems setup. Assist with benefits administration, enrollments, and employee inquiries. Prepare HR-related documents such as offer letters and policy updates. Assist with training sessions, compliance requirements, and employee engagement activities. Assist in recruitment efforts, including posting job ads, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws. Provide general administrative support to the HR team and leadership. Work directly with and provide ongoing administrative and operational assistance to the Director of Human Resources, including preparing reports, coordinating projects, and supporting department initiatives. Qualifications 1-3 years of HR or administrative experience preferred. Knowledge of HR processes, recordkeeping, and labor regulations a plus. Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, Paylocity, BambooHR) a plus. Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. High level of discretion and professionalism with confidential information. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour
