Job Description

Recruiting Coordinator (USD)#26-05972 $44.82 per hour NYC, NY All On-site Job Description In this role, you'll guide experienced insurance agents, registered reps and financial advisors through a smooth transition to the firm, managing all logistics of individualized transition plans supporting them from onboarding to full operational readiness, creating and delivering an exceptional advisor experience while upholding compliance and operational excellence.
  • Support Field Recruiting activities by providing guidance on candidate compatibility, eligibility, qualifications, and alignment with company standards
  • Partner with General Office Contracting to prepare and process Experienced Professional contract packages, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to required timelines.
  • Build strong relationships with incoming rep-advisors, connecting them with New York Life subject matter experts to explore products, platforms, and solutions that support their business goals
  • Coordinate closely with Broker-Dealer and Wealth Advisory teams to analyze rep-advisors' business mix, develop customized transition plans, and manage execution through full onboarding and operational readiness
  • Provide logistical support to the Business Transition Lead by developing individualized transition plans and identifying all key components required when moving to a new firm and/or Broker Dealer
  • Develop and implement action plans to proactively resolve issues during transitions, partnering with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
  • Collaborate with Development Managers to schedule, prepare, and deliver training for rep-advisors on products, services, procedures, and policies; maintain and distribute training guides as needed
  • Deliver best-in-class customer service throughout the transition process, responding to requests from management, internal partners, and rep-advisors
  • Prepare and maintain dashboards, trackers, and status reports to monitor progress, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed
  • Compile and summarize data-driven insights to inform program efficacy and required enhancement reviews
  • Maintain and continuously enhance knowledge of industry trends, internal programs, and New York Life product offerings
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent professional experience
  • 5-7 years (willing to entertain 4 years) experience in the financial services or insurance industry; Series 6, 63, 65 or 7 license is a plus or equivalent knowledge.
  • Professional experience in operations, project coordination, or similar role
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with Experienced Financial Professionals or Financial Advisors and ability to clearly articulate information related to the career
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with particular strength in Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote
  • Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, strong sense of ownership and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Supplier Clarity
  • Preferred industries/backgrounds? In the Life insurance/financial (someone who is or has been client-facing within the industry).
  • Tools/systems proficiency? Depth of Excel knowledge, specifically use of Pivot tables (creating and using) as well as filtering, charting, graphing.
  • Team structure & culture? 1-2 people they would be supporting
  • Soft skills/personality fit? Self-starter, takes initiative. polished, professional, used to a corporate environment (except someone who was remote, but wants to work in an office)
