Job Description
Position Summary:
The human resources administrator is responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of all human resources functions and employee relations for all three branch locations. Reporting to the office daily is a core requirement of this role; remote work options are not available.Human Resources Job Responsibilities:
- Administer human resource plans and procedures for all branches and employees.
- Advise and support leadership on HR policy, best practices, employee relationships, and conflict management. This includes updating and maintaining the Employee Handbook. Educate staff on HR policy and procedure.
- Performing administrative tasks as needed in relation to payroll processing, benefits enrollment/termination, 401k, documentation, policy and procedure, personnel files, etc. Understand and maintain the Bank's HRIS.
- Communicate with staff on benefit updates, personnel hires/terminations, policy changes, etc. Thorough knowledge of the Bank's benefit package is essential.
- Communicate and manage open enrollment. Ensure staff have proper education on benefit offerings.
- Advertise and recruit for open positions. Filter applicants and schedule/perform interviews. Research and advise management on recruitment strategies, including job fairs, internship opportunities, and partnerships with local schools.
- Maintaining confidential employee records, including personnel, medical, W-4, and I-9 files. Ensure these are compliant with all state and federal regulations. Respond to inquiries such as for employment verifications and do so with the utmost confidentiality.
- Organizing, managing, and implementing new employee orientation, onboarding, and training programs. Responsible for ensuring the onboarding process provides new hires with a solid first impression of the Bank.
- Plan and conduct all-staff meetings. This includes organizing the venue, taking attendance, setting the agenda with leadership input, and scheduling guests/speakers.
- Assign training to employees through
ICBA, ABA, CSI
eLearning, and/or other platforms as implemented. Track employee participation and completion. Ensure follow-up with employees to ensure all compliance-related training is completed.- Creating and implementing employee recognition and gratitude programs, team building opportunities, and employee celebrations, including EPIC awards, employee events, holiday parties, etc. Manage and oversee the Fun Committee. Ensure regular employee engagement events occur, as directed by management.
- Coordinate and manage the performance review and goal-setting program. This includes preparing all performance reviews for management and ensuring all reviews are completed and accounted for promptly.
- Terminating employees, including 3rd party contact and COBRA administration.
- Investigating accidents and preparing reports, providing incident/case management on employee grievance and disciplinary actions. Ensuring documentation, legal consulting, and compliance are in order.
- Additional responsibilities and duties, as assigned and deemed necessary by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of employee and labor laws, including but not limited to .
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, a with the ability to effectively work with individuals and groups at all organizational levels; strong relationship building, conflict resolution, and employee coaching skills; and professional acumen.
- Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently with the ability to meet deadlines
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to deliver a high level of responsiveness to internal customers
- Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite Education/Experience A bachelor's degree in human resources, business management, or a related field is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 3+ year of experience in human resources, benefit management, interviewing, and relevant experience required.Pay:
