Pre-Posting Consultation:
You'll kick things off by partnering with hiring managers to fine-tune job qualifications and make sure each posting hits the mark. Recruitment & Job Posting Management:
Here's where your creativity and strategy shine. You'll craft job postings that don't just list duties — they spark interest and invite diverse talent in. You'll recommend the smartest mix of internal and external channels, ensure postings meet DPH and DSHR standards, and track how each job advertisement performs. With a pulse on applicant flow, you'll help guide targeted outreach that builds a pipeline of strong candidates ready to make a difference.
Application Screening & Candidate Referral:
You'll take the lead on structured, compliant application screening, making sure every candidate is reviewed fairly and consistently. Once you've identified who meets—and exceeds—the qualifications, you'll present polished candidate pools to hiring managers. It's all about making the selection process smoother, faster, and more equitable for everyone involved.
New Hire Processing & Onboarding Coordination:
You'll be the trusted navigator for new employees as they move from offer to first day — ensuring all the important details are handled with accuracy and care. From preparing offer letters to guiding new hires and managers through onboarding tasks, you'll help set the stage for a warm, seamless welcome. You'll manage I-9/E-Verify, credentials, background checks, and documentation, collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues quickly.
Additional Responsibilities:
Perform related duties and special projects as assigned. Support departmental emergency response needs, which may occur outside normal business hours. Travel may be needed to support this effort.

make every new hire feel supported, confident, and ready to thrive from day one. Partner with internal teams to resolve documentation issues and ensure a seamless, positive onboarding experience.
State Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree and relevant experience.
Agency Additional Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, communications, or a related field. At least two (2) years of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, human resources, talent sourcing. Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications, subject to approval by the DPH Chief Human Resources Officer, or their delegate. Applicants indicating college credit or degree(s) on the application may upload an unofficial copy of the transcript as an attachment to the application. Please note that the agency will require an official, certified copy of the transcript or diploma prior to hiring. Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Prior experience in Human Resources. HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or

: If this position requires the applicant to possess a valid driver's license to operate a state vehicle or personal vehicle, any applicant being considered in the final stages of selection for the position will be required to provide a certified copy of a 10-year driving record.
