Job Description
TriSource Staffing is partnering with a growing organization to hire an experienced Onboarding Coordinator to support a high-volume, compliance-driven onboarding process across multiple states. This role is responsible for managing onboarding workflows, background review coordination, compliance tracking, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience from offer acceptance through orientation and system setup. Responsibilities Coordinate the full onboarding process for new hires across multiple states, including Virginia and Minnesota, each with slightly different onboarding and compliance requirements Review and manage background checks, drug screening results, and onboarding compliance documentation Support FCRA pre-adverse and adverse action processes, including communicating professionally with candidates regarding unfavorable background information Coordinate with leadership regarding failed drug screens, background concerns, and final hiring determinations Manage CPS, DBDHS, and other required state-specific clearance processes Process and maintain I-9 documentation and employment verification records Complete state new hire reporting requirements accurately and timely Utilize UKG to process hiring actions and manage employee onboarding workflows from recruiting through employee portal setup Coordinate onboarding schedules, orientation logistics, and clearance timelines with hiring managers and internal teams Track onboarding progress to ensure compliance milestones, start dates, and documentation deadlines are met Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready onboarding and compliance records Serve as a primary point of contact for onboarding-related questions from candidates and internal stakeholders Provide a high level of customer service while managing a high-volume workload with strong accuracy and attention to detail Assist with onboarding process improvements and workflow coordination initiatives Qualifications 2+ years of onboarding, HR coordination, compliance, or high-volume administrative experience Experience handling background checks, onboarding compliance, employment verification, or related HR processes Knowledge of FCRA pre-adverse and adverse action procedures strongly preferred Experience supporting multi-state onboarding and compliance workflows preferred Experience with UKG or similar HRIS/payroll systems preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple moving pieces and shifting priorities effectively Work Environment Hybrid schedule available following initial onboarding and training period Candidates should expect to work onsite through at least the first orientation cycle Exempt position with opportunity for long-term growth within the organization
