Position Summary:
The Operations Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting day-to-day administrative operations, compliance oversight, and HR processes across multiple Roy'zzz locations. This role ensures that company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements are consistently followed while also supporting internal teams with organization, communication, and execution. This position requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a compliance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
HR & Employee Lifecycle Support Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes for all employees across locations Ensure all new hire documentation, compliance requirements, and training are completed accurately and on time Support employee engagement initiatives, including benefits education and communication Assist with maintaining employee records in compliance with state and company requirements Benefits Administration Serve as a point of contact for employee benefits questions and support Assist with benefit enrollment, changes, and ongoing communication Promote employee engagement and understanding of available benefits Compliance & Regulatory Oversight Monitor and support compliance across all Roy'zzz locations in alignment with South Dakota cannabis regulations Communicate with state regulatory bodies as needed regarding updates, changes, or reporting requirements Ensure all documentation, reporting, and operational practices meet compliance standards Track and maintain licensing requirements, renewals, and regulatory deadlines SOP & Process Management Maintain, update, and organize all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Partner with department heads to ensure SOP updates are documented and implemented accurately Support continuous improvement of processes to align with compliance and operational needs Administrative & Operational Support Coordinate internal meetings, ensuring agendas are prepared in advance for efficient time management Support cross-functional communication and alignment across departments Assist leadership with administrative tasks, reporting, and operational coordination Accounting Support (Light / Backup Coverage) Provide backup support for basic accounting functions when needed (e.g., assisting with payroll coordination or check processing) Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure continuity of operations during absences
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in operations, HR, compliance, or administrative roles Experience in regulated environments (cannabis, healthcare, finance, etc.) strongly preferred Strong understanding of compliance, documentation, and process management Experience supporting onboarding, employee records, and HR processes Comfortable working with benefits administration or employee engagement initiatives Basic understanding of accounting or willingness to support light accounting tasks Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the cannabis industry or familiarity with state compliance requirements Experience working with SOP development and documentation Exposure to HRIS, payroll systems, or compliance tracking tools
