Director, Human Resources Job Description:
Human Resources Coordinator Position Summary The Human Resource Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Human Resource department with administrative tasks, recruitment and onboarding, acting as a liaison between staffing agencies, temporary workers, and company management. The Human Resource Coordinator will assist with managing employee records, temporary employee payroll and benefits, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
HR Coordinator tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Monitoring systems and assessing attendance hours, creating new and replacement timecards/badges, attendance hour tracking, uniforms, entering new hires in systems, print, sort and give out quarterly attendance reports. Full Cycle Temporary Worker tasks include but are not limited to:
  • Determine eligibility, schedule eligible submissions, confirm submissions with agencies, read through packets, communicate with leadership regarding preferred placements, and assign each temporary worker.
  • Make timecards, enter in system, fill out temp spreadsheet, print orientation sign-in sheet, send orientation sheet to EHS, and make copies of handout.
  • Escort temporary workers to orientation, hand out timecards, discuss handouts, shifts, appointments, card envelopes, email agencies on placements and absences. Email supervisors/plant managers their new temp list, organize spreadsheet, enter new temps in system, file packets.
  • Go through agency spreadsheets and take appropriate actions on timesheets, releases, answer emails and take appropriate actions.
  • Look over temp timesheets and make corrections, copy temp spreadsheet and resort, update each agency spreadsheet template, enter following weeks' new spreadsheet for each plant and agency.
  • Temp releases daily as needed; email agency and supervisor, update temp and agency spreadsheet, delete from multiple systems, and shred packets.
  • Temp payroll: correcting and authorizing each temp timesheet, wage hours analysis in system, email each agency, and updating payroll spreadsheet.
  • Conversion from temporary worker to employee; create list of eligible temporary workers and email to HR Director, contact Nurse about approved list for drug screens, email for current email addresses once drug screens are complete, fill in pending new hire spreadsheet, keep spreadsheet updated, pull packets and give to HR.
  • Confirm orientation time correct on timesheets, terminate in multiple systems after HR enters, move them on spreadsheet.
  • Temporary workers going to specialty positions; confirm date, position, supervisor, and schedule, put notes in spreadsheet, follow up to confirm qualifications and if qualified, email agency regarding raise, update spreadsheet, and system.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Suite
  • Strong numerical proficiency and analytical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen eye for details
  • Time-management and data entry skills
  • Multi-tasker with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years' experience in Human Resources or similar role
  • Proficiency with HRIS such as Paylocity and IFS a plus Tennsco will only employ those who are legally authorized to work.
Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.
Pay:
$20.00 - $23.00 per hour
