GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Human Resources function including Employee Relations, Compliance, Recruiting and Training. Acts as a liaison between employee and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations. This role also supports payroll processing activities as a backup for the Payroll Representative. The position is best suited for entry level to intermediate experience.Essential Functions:
Support employee relations by providing excellent customer service to employees with questions, concerns or issues Process and handle confidential information in a sensitive fashion Coordinate employee engagement and employee recognition activities Source and screen candidates for hourly and salary positions; to include working closely with employment agencies as needed Administer onboarding activities for new employees; delivering an outstanding onboarding experience for all new employees and maintain employee training records, personnel records and all other records related to Human Resources Assist with employment verifications as requested by outside agencies Assist in annual EEO-1, 401k and other government or compliance related reporting requirements Support and champion facility safety to include but not limited to COVID mitigation Review and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Assist the Payroll Representative with payroll processing as neededRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, PowerPoint) Works comfortably under pressure and meets deadlines Able to build professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization Strong decision making and problem solving skills Excellent record keeping skills Willingness and ability to keep all human resources records, data, and department activities 100% confidential. Able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions, and cope effectively with changes in pace or priorities Maintain a strong commitment to personal and professional developmentRequired Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Management, or related field preferred. Combination of technical training and direct experience in lieu of educational requirements will be considered 2 to 5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment Basic knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce desired U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to satisfyAFSI ITAR
