Job Description

Provides administrative and project support to the Human Resources Department by assisting with daily tasks and contributing to assigned initiatives. Assists with filing and maintaining organized records; Assist with elements of civil service exams; Contributes to special projects as assigned; Performs other related duties as required; Must be an undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Human Resources or a related major. Valid Texas Driver's License required
Internship Details:
Duration :
Approximately June 1st -July 31st.
Hours:
Interns generally work an average of 20-29 hours per week, depending on needs of the office and availability of intern. Office is open 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday.

Knowledge of:
Basic data entry, reporting, and maintaining accurate employee records Customer service and public interaction principles Computers, office software, and standard office equipment Ability to: Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including presenting information to groups Perform accurate and organized filing Adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and grasping required Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and squatting required for filing and records work Frequent walking to assist employees and visitors Ability to sit, stand, and rotate upper body as needed throughout the workday Must be able to safely operate a vehicle, including coordination of hand, eye, and foot movements
