Role:
The HR Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources department by managing administrative tasks and facilitating smooth HR operations. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records, assisting with recruitment processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The HR Assistant acts as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and helps coordinate training sessions and employee engagement activities. By efficiently handling day-to-day HR functions, the HR Assistant contributes to creating a positive work environment and supports the overall organizational goals. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams across the company.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred. Basic understanding of HR principles and employment laws. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and update employee records in HR databases and physical files. Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates. Support onboarding activities by preparing new hire documentation and coordinating orientation sessions. Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Support HR team with special projects and administrative tasks to improve HR processes.
