Directs all aspects of the human resources functions of Shannon Medical Center including staffing, competitive salaries and benefits, all employment processes, injured workers, also includes support and implementation of Hospital Mission, Vision, and Values.
Performance:
Position Specific Essential Functions Takes ownership for assigned tasks and projects. Meets or exceeds commitments, quality standards and due dates while consistently modeling positive interactions and partnerships across Shannon. Seeks and constructively accepts feedback to continually improve personal performance. Listens to patients/caregivers, partnering effectively with them and other Shannon Departments and groups, treating them as customers. Keeps focused on patients and the patient experience. Seeks or anticipates their needs. Meets or exceeds their expectations whenever possible and follows up to assure their needs have been met. Presents him/herself and his/her work area in a way that reflects positively on Shannon to patients, families, customers and the community as well as to Shannon associates at all levels of the organization. Engages with others to keep Shannon's best interests in the forefront. Models behaviors that demonstrate that Shannon is the trusted healthcare provider in West Texas. Is consistent and fair in her/his actions and treatment of others. Does what is right even when no one is looking. Acts in a manner that benefits others. Demonstrates care, concern and empathy for patients, their families and associates throughout Shannon. Is polite and considerate in all interactions, even under difficult circumstances. Raises issues, concerns, feedback, and suggestions for improvement in constructive ways. Goes the extra mile whenever possible. Ensures that exceptional patient care and/or high quality work is provided to families, friends, neighbors, and/or co-workers. Pays attention to detail. Acts with a sense of urgency in matters important to Shannon. Ability to make decisions and takes appropriate action based on the information they have. Demonstrates accurate, knowledge and skill to carry out job duties. Follows departmental work policies and procedures. Speed and consistency of output, and time utilization of job duties. Demonstrates ability to consistently utilize electronic equipment and online computer programs to perform job duties, including electronic documentation, and order entry. Consistently utilizes and maintains supplies and equipment to minimize lost charges and unnecessary equipment repair/replacement. Adheres to established policies on privacy and security requirements for compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as applicable by Shannon Policy.
