A Steel Fabrication client is seeking a driven and experienced HR Assistant Manager to support and enhance their Human Resources operations. This role works closely with the HR Manager to oversee daily HR functions, employee relations, compliance, and talent management initiatives. DIRECT-HIRE
role for a client company (not for Texas Staffing Solutions directly). Key Responsibilities Assist in managing day-to-day HR operations and staff Support recruitment efforts, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding Administer employee benefits programs and assist with open enrollment Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Utilize Paycom for HRIS functions including payroll support, reporting, and onboarding Handle employee relations matters, including investigations and conflict resolution Support payroll processes and ensure accuracy of employee data Coordinate training programs and employee development initiatives Assist with performance management and annual review processes Help oversee company safety programs and OSHA compliance initiatives Support safety training and incident reporting Prepare HR and safety-related reports and maintain data integrity Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field PHR, SHRM-CP, or other HR certification preferred Experience in HR, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments Experience with HRIS systems (Paycom strongly preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to sit for extended periods and work on a computer Frequent use of hands for typing and data entry Ability to communicate clearly in English and Spanish Ability to move around facility, climb stairs, and lift up to 20 lbs Growth & Opportunities Exposure to a wide range of HR and safety functions Opportunity to work closely with senior leadership on strategic initiatives Career growth potential into HR leadership roles Support for continued education and professional certifications Compensation $60,000 - $80,000 annually (based on experience) Schedule M-TH 7am-4:30
