We are an audio-visual integrations and productions company known for delivering uncompromising sound quality, designing and installing AV systems and running live production environments for clients who need things to look great and sound flawless, from corporate spaces to live events. Our team is hands-on, technical, and proud of the work we put into the world. About the Role We're hiring an HR Coordinator to be the operational backbone of our People. This is an on-site role based in Salt Lake City for someone early in their HR career who wants to learn the full breadth of human resources, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compliance, and employee experience, inside a fast-moving AV company. The role splits roughly 80% administrative work in the office and 20% in the field, so you'll spend most of your time on HR Administration and a regular share of your week visiting our crews on site. You'll work closely with COO in hiring managers, technicians, and leadership, so comfort with a varied, People-first day is key. What You'll Do Coordinate end-to-end recruiting logistics: posting roles, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and keeping our applicant tracking organized Run onboarding for new hires, including paperwork, drug testing, system access, first-week schedules, and making sure day one feels welcoming Conduct 30,60,90-day new hire check-ins to make sure people are settling in well and getting the support they need Complete regular site visits to stay close to crews in the field, hear what's working, and spot issues early Build trusted relationships with employees so they feel safe to speak up about concerns, ideas, or feedback Own benefits administration, including open enrollment, leave requests, HRIS vendor coordination, and answering employee questions Help plan and coordinate Town Halls, training sessions, and other company-wide events Partner with Managers in addressing difficult people issues with care and discretion, including conduct, and performance concerns Lead offboarding for departing employees, including exit interviews, system access removal, and final paperwork Handle general HR compliance work, keeping policies, postings, and records current Champion employee wellbeing through programs, resources, and a steady ear when people need one Coordinate the performance review cycle and work with Managers to make sure reviews are completed on time Maintain employee records, HRIS data, and personnel files with accuracy and confidentiality Assist with payroll inputs and timekeeping in partnership with Finance Plan recognition moments and culture initiatives that fit a hands-on AV crew Be a friendly, trusted first point of contact for everyday HR questions Coordinate and schedule monthly random employee drug testing Manage and distribute our employee swag programs Care for a budget set aside for helping employees in time of need / recognizing them. What We're Looking For 1-2 years of HR, office coordination, or administrative experience (internships count) Bachelor's degree in HR, business, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail; you don't lose track of things Excellent written and verbal communication Discretion and good judgment when handling confidential information and sensitive employee matters Comfortable with Microsoft Office 365 Suite; Kudos if you've touched an HRIS (BambooHR, Rippling, ADP, Gusto, etc.) Genuine interest in people and their development, and a curiosity about how the company runs Familiarity with U.S. employment basics (I-9, EEO, FLSA) or willingness to learn quickly Nice to Have Exposure to the AV, live events, production, or technology services industry An HR certification (aPHR or SHRM-CP) or progress toward one.
