Job Description
This position is for 8.0 hours per day, 250 days (12 months) per year. This position is compensated according to the Lane 6 of the Business Salary Schedule, and is eligible for benefits.

Job Summary
The Human Resources Coordinator (Education Support Professional) plays a critical role in managing the district's comprehensive employee benefits and wellness programs while providing specialized HR support for Education Support Professional (ESP) staff, and high-level administrative assistance to HR Directors. This position ensures complete regulatory compliance across all benefits plans, and wellness program, drives recruitment and retention initiatives for ESP positions, and coordinates professional development and evaluations. The ideal candidate balances meticulous data management and regulatory compliance with exceptional customer service and strategic problem-solving. Essential Job Functions
Benefits Administration & Compliance Monitoring
Program Administration:
Oversee daily operations of health, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, and Wellness programs.
Enrollment & Orientation:
Lead new hire benefits onboarding, facilitate orientation materials, and coordinate the annual Open Enrollment process (including plan design changes and communication campaigns).
Employee Support:
Act as the primary point of contact for benefits inquiries, resolving issues with empathy and professionalism.
Compliance & Data Integrity:
Ensure strict adherence to federal and state regulations (HIPAA, ACA, COBRA). Maintain accurate HRIS data and collaborate with Technical Services to transmit weekly enrollment files to insurance carriers.
Audit & Strategy:
Conduct scheduled audits of enrollments, claims, and costs. Analyze usage trends to present strategic, cost-optimized recommendations aligned with organizational goals.
Education Support Professional (ESP) Development & Support
Training & Evaluations:
Coordinate training opportunities and Professional Development Days tailored for ESP positions. Oversee the end-to-end ESP evaluation process.
Recruitment & Retention:
Assist with district-wide hiring initiatives, coordinate logistics and marketing for job fairs, and participate in monthly operational meetings with external staffing partners (Edustaff) and HR Directors.
Retention Strategy:
Conduct and analyze structured "stay interviews" to gather actionable data to improve district-wide ESP retention.
Recruitment, Hiring & Job Fairs
Assist with district-wide recruitment efforts, hiring initiatives, and district-sponsored hiring events for ESP positions.
Coordinate all event logistics, marketing materials, and booth setups for job fairs for ESP Positions
Participate in monthly staffing and operational coordination meetings with Edustaff and Human Resources Directors.
Conduct and support structured "stay interviews" to gather actionable data and improve district-wide ESP retention.
Administrative Support to HR Directors
Provide high-level administrative support to HR Directors to facilitate smooth daily operations.
Prepare professional correspondence, detailed reports, and data summaries.
Maintain highly confidential personnel files and administrative documentation with strict discretion.
Schedule meetings, manage complex administrative calendars, and prepare comprehensive meeting materials.
Assist with overarching HR compliance tracking and reporting, and perform additional duties as assigned.
Attendance is an Essential Function of This Position
Physical presence at the worksite is an essential function of this position. The role requires in-person collaboration, direct interaction with team members, other staff, students, and/or guardians, and access to on-site equipment and resources.
Other Functions
Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field is required.
2+ years of experience in benefits administration, Human Resources, or a similar role.
Strong understanding of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex benefits concepts to employees at all levels.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Experience in auditing, analyzing benefits programs, and providing strategic insights. Strong background in managing calendars, drafting formal summaries, and organizing files for Human Resources Directors.
Skill in coordinating materials and logistics for job fairs and district events.
High attention to detail regarding data tracking, file auditing, documentation, and reporting within system platforms.
Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, with a proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise impeccable professional judgement.
Experience with IFAS and Talent Ed Systems is highly desired.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Attendance at work is essential. This position works in a professional office environment.
The job occasionally requires light physical exertion including walking, standing, and other forms of light physical activity.
Accuracy and attention to detail are critical in every aspect of the job.
Must be willing to fingerprint applicants and employees.
Valid Driver's License.
The position requires travel to schools throughout the district.
