Job Description

Job Title:
Director of Human Resources and Building Administration Position Summary:
The Director of Human Resources and Building Administration will support the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring effective implementation of policies, procedures, and initiatives. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, social media management, and facilities scheduling. The ideal candidate will be a people-oriented professional with excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and administrative experience. This is a part time position reporting to the Executive Pastor.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding Assist in the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and offers. Facilitate a smooth onboarding process for new employees, including orientation sessions and documentation. Employee Relations Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly. Support conflict resolution and employee grievance procedures in collaboration with leadership. Promote a positive work environment through engagement initiatives and employee feedback programs. Benefits and Payroll Support Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies. Assist with payroll processing and resolve employee payroll-related inquiries. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of leave balances, attendance, and other employee records. Policy and Compliance Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. Update policies and employee handbooks as needed. Conduct internal audits to ensure proper documentation and compliance with standards. Training and Development Coordinate training sessions and professional development programs for employees. Identify opportunities for skill-building and career advancement within the organization. Church Calendar and Renter Management Manage the organization's calendar, ensuring scheduling efficiency for meetings, events, and deadlines. Oversee the scheduling and coordination of renters, ensuring proper use of facilities and adherence to rental agreements. Act as the primary point of contact for renters, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Social Media Management Manage the organization's social media platforms to promote events, initiatives, and community engagement. Develop and schedule content, ensuring consistency with the organization's mission and branding. Monitor social media activity, engage with followers, and analyze performance metrics to improve outreach. Administration and Reporting Maintain employee and organizational records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Generate administrative reports, metrics, and dashboards as needed. Support organizational projects and initiatives, such as performance review cycles and culture-building programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in a leadership role with responsibilities in administration, engagement, or HR. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems, and social media platforms. High level of discretion and confidentiality. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience leading ministry or community engagement programs. Certification in HR (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) or project management is a plus. Experience working in a fast-paced environment or supporting multi-department organizations.

$25.00 per hour
