The Bureau of Human Resources (BHR), Region 2 is currently recruiting to fill a Human Resources Assistant Limited Term Employment vacancy. This position will be located at the Department of Corrections (DOC) central office in Madison, Wisconsin. Region 2 provides HR services to the
DOC. NOTE
LTE positions are limited to working a total of 1039 hours over a period of 12 months. Candidates must be a resident of the State of Wisconsin in order to be considered. Position Summary This position performs a wide range of human resources services in recruitment and selection and the administration of applicable federal and state laws, administrative codes, and policies and procedures. Salary Information The starting pay is between $20.00 and $27.85 per hour. The pay schedule/range is 81-05. Job Details Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship) at the time of application. Region 2 will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
NOTE:
This position will work up to 20 hours per week. Schedule will be flexible and determined upon hire. This position will be eligible to work remotely 1 day per week after completing training. Qualifications Minimally qualified applicants will have experience: Knowledge of modern principles and techniques of public personnel administration. Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action principles and practices. Knowledge of record keeping practices and procedures. Knowledge of human resources computer systems such as PeopleSoft. Skill in modern office practices. Working knowledge of standard computer applications and software, such as
MS Office Suite:
