We are looking for a dedicated HR leader to help build a strong, thriving, and spiritually grounded team.
Position Summary:
The Director of Human Resources will lead the day-to-day human resources operations while supporting the strategic vision of the Ministry. This role works closely with the Chief People Officer and the HR team to ensure a culture of excellence, compliance, and engagement. The ideal candidate is both a seasoned HR professional and a servant leader, bringing operational expertise, strategic insight, and a heart for ministry.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, employee relations, and benefits administration. Administer the annual benefits open enrollment process and manage HR-related vendors and external partners. Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws while aligning HR practices with the Ministry's mission and values. Support leadership and staff with coaching, development, and guidance rooted in biblical principles. Design and implement programs that enhance employee engagement, culture, and organizational effectiveness.
QualificationsSkills:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communications, or related field, or a combination of education and professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP). Ten or more years of broad HR leadership experience, including personnel management. Knowledge of federal and state employment laws (EEOC, Title
VII, FLSA, ADA, FMLA
) and ability to apply them to real-world situations. Strong relationship-building skills and proven ability to partner with leaders and staff at all levels. Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and multitasking skills. Demonstrated ability to integrate biblical principles and ministry values into HR leadership.
