This hybrid leadership and direct-care role is ideal for someone who thrives in a caregiving environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional resident care while ensuring smooth staffing operations. The Staffing Manager / Caregiver is responsible for maintaining adequate staffing coverage, coordinating schedules and shift changes, supporting caregiving staff, and providing hands-on care to residents. This position plays a critical role in maintaining high-quality care standards and a safe, comfortable environment for residents. Manager Responsibilities Ensure adequate staffing coverage at all times Create, maintain, and manage caregiver schedules Coordinate shift coverage, call-offs, and last-minute staffing needs Provide staff oversight, coaching, and day-to-day support Ensure all staff follow facility policies, procedures, and care standards Monitor caregiver performance and promote accountability Communicate staffing needs and resident care updates to leadership Assist with onboarding and training of new caregiving staff Caregiver Responsibilities Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene Provide compassionate care, supervision, companionship, and emotional support Assist residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and fall prevention Prepare meals and assist with meal service as needed Support residents with physical therapy exercises or fitness regimens as directed Perform light housekeeping duties, including: Laundry Vacuuming Dusting Sweeping Mopping Washing dishes Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment Observe and report any changes in resident condition, behavior, or safety concerns Qualifications Valid driver's license or State ID Prior caregiving experience in assisted living, memory care, RCFE, or home care (2 years required) Previous scheduling, staffing, and/or supervisory experience (1 year required) Experience working with seniors, including residents with dementia (1 year required) Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and organized during call-offs and urgent staffing needs Dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift, push, pull, or transfer up to 50 pounds Ability to assist residents with transfers, repositioning, and mobility support Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and twisting Ability to perform housekeeping and laundry tasks Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations Ability to work in a fast-paced residential care environment Compensation & Benefits $22/hour Eligible for overtime pay Health Insurance Paid Sick Leave Retirement Matching Plan Flexible Schedule Equal Opportunity Employer The company is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate against race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, national origin, disability, genetic information, or any other federal, state, or locally protected classes.
