Aerospace Manufacturing HR Director (Direct Hire)
Salary Range:
$160•190
K Shift:
1st (ONSITE) •Must be able to travel to TJ 2-4 times a year or as needed•
Job Summary:
The Bilingual HR Director will lead all human resources functions within a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving HR strategy, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and industry-specific regulations, and supporting a diverse workforce across both office and production floor settings. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and Spanish and brings strong experience in manufacturing operations, employee relations, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning Partner with plant leadership and executive teams to align HR strategies with production goals and operational needs Ensure compliance with federal, state (especially California), and aerospace industry regulations (e.g., FAA, OSHA, ITAR) Oversee employee relations on the production floor, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions Develop and enforce HR policies, procedures, and best practices tailored to a manufacturing environment Support audits and maintain compliance documentation for aerospace standards and government contracts Manage compensation, benefits, and retention programs to support a skilled labor workforce Lead training programs, including safety, compliance, and leadership development Drive employee engagement, retention, and workforce culture initiatives Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) communication and support across all levels of the organization Oversee HRIS systems, reporting, and workforce analytics
Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred) 8-10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role Must have experience in manufacturing (Aerospace preferred) Must be Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) Deep knowledge of California labor laws and employment regulations Experience working in both office and shop floor environments Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or equivalent) Experience with union environments or labor relations Knowledge of ITAR, AS9100, and government contracting requirements Experience implementing HR systems or process improvements
Work Environment:
